Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 – The Departemen Of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Unsri held a research workshop with the main topic “How to Publish Articles in High Quality International Journals”. Presented by a speaker who are expert in their scope, Prof, Ferry Jie, Ph.D, one of the lecturer at Edith Cowan University, Australia.
In this research workshop, Faisal Nomaini, S.Sos., M.Sc. as secretary of the Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Sriwijaya University, gave an opening speech that he hope with this workshop we can find out how to find the best quality journals, know how to prepare and start writing good writing, how to follow the method , how to complete the payment procedure when our writing is received.
The opening speech were continued by Dr.Andries Lionardo.M.Si. as the Head of the Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Sriwijaya University, He hope to invite Prof, Ferry Jie, Ph.D back to the next event, and hope to meet him in person in Palembang.
The workshop was opened directly by Dr. Andy Alfatih, MPA as the deputy dean of FISIP Unsri, in his opening speech he expressed his gratitude for the time and presence of Mr. Ferry Jie, Ph.D.
After the opening, this activity was guided by Rindang Senja Andarinu, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom. as a moderator. Followed by the presentation of the material by the resource person then continued with a question and answer session and discussion between the speaker and the workshop participants.
This workshop activity raised the topic “How to Publish Articles in High Quality International Journals: Some Strategies and Tactics”. The main objective of this training is to learn the strategies and tactics of producing high-quality international journals.
This workshop was organized by the Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sriwijaya University, through the Zoom Meeting application or via browser which was attended by a total of 280 participants. This activity is expected to add broader knowledge and insight for students, alumni and lecturers of communication science in making articles as well as to introduce the majors of IKOM FISIP UNSRI more broadly to the public. This event is held free of charge from the participants. This workshop activity was concluded with a photo session with speaker, vice dean of FISIP Unsri, head of the department, secretary of department, lecturers, then invited guests and the participants.
